As in 2024, Christian and Lars Engel are among the 20 finalists for the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award. In a multi-stage selection process, they prevailed against a large number of other entrepreneurs from all over Germany and impressed the jury with BHS Corrugated and their personal entrepreneurial achievements.
On October 13, 2025, representatives from EY and ODDO BHF visited BHS Corrugated’s headquarters in Weiherhammer and presented the finalist award to Christian and Lars Engel. During the visit, the managing directors of BHS Corrugated discussed various topics with the guests, both within and outside of BHS Corrugated.
On November 6, Lars Engel and Group CFO Dr. Thomas List will travel to Munich, where the winners in the categories “Family Business,” “Innovation,” “Sustainability,” and “Young Companies” will be announced at a festive gala. Christian and Lars Engel are among the five finalists in the “Family Business” category. One of the winners will represent Germany at the “EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2026” in Monaco.
