Delta Packaging are located in Avignon, France, where they specialise in the manufacture and supply of corrugated cases to local industry, with particular emphasis to the ‘Côtes de Rhone’ vineyards. In recent years this business has been greatly enhanced by more specialised packs to hold one, two, or three higher value bottles of prestige wine such as the local ‘Chateauneuf du Pape’.
As demand has increased rapidly in recent years, Delta Packaging needed to find a suitable folder-gluer capable of closing over 2,000 pieces an hour with three points of cold adhesive.
After consultation with Howard Norman-Taylor, they were introduced to the MULTIGLUER GT, manufactured by BARMAtec GmbH, previously known as Maschinenmau.
Meeting their requirements of only a small footprint and minimal operator training, the MULTIGLUER GT benefits from a Baumer hhs cold adhesive system, and Beckhoff electronics.
The new machine was delivered early August, installed by Christian Bauer of BARMAtec, and put to work immediately enabling the local vineyards to benefit from the seasonal increase in visitors to the area.
