Industry golf day supports Hope House Children’s Hospice

On the 1st July, Recycling UK Ltd held their annual industry golf day at Carden Park Golf Resort in Cheshire.

As in recent years, RUK used the event as a fundraising day for Hope House Children’s Hospices who they have supported since 2008 in many ways, including sponsorship of fun runs, cycling challenges, Santa dashes and Hope House organised golf days.

At the golf day dinner, Claire Penny, who is area fundraiser for the charity, gave a pre-dinner talk to 80 guests about the work that Hope House do in Shropshire, Cheshire, Staffordshire, North and mid Wales and after the dinner and presentations a bucket collection organised by RUK’s Lisa Barbera – and with the help of Claire Penny and her sister Hannah, the evening raised a staggering £5,162. RUK Group had promised to double what was collected which has helped Hope House to the tune of £10,324.

The important work that Hope House Children’s Hospices do can be seen on their website.
