Robatech celebrates 50 years of innovation and partnership

Robatech AG is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025 under the motto ‘Connecting the future’. Since its founding in 1975, the company has been known for pioneering technology, sustainable solutions, and close cooperation with customers, partners, and employees worldwide.

“We are looking back with gratitude – and ahead with confidence,” says Yves Ottiger, CEO. “Long-standing relationships are the foundation of our success. What sets us apart is not only our technological expertise, but also the trust we have been able to build up over decades.”

Company owner Marcel Meyer also emphasises the company’s partnership-based approach He says, “We are not shaping the future alone, but side by side with our customers. Together, we develop solutions that make everyday production easier, safer, and more efficient.”

What began in 1975 in Muri, Aargau (Switzerland), with five employees and the first Roba 1 adhesive melter, has developed into a global company. In 1980, Robatech established its first subsidiary abroad. Today, the company is represented in over 80 countries with 19 subsidiaries and a strong network of partners on all continents. Customer proximity, personal support, and fast service availability remain core values to this day.

From its very beginning, Robatech has focused on technological innovation with an eye to sustainability, durability, and system openness. In the early 1980s, Robatech’s adhesive melters already featured electronic temperature control – a novelty at the time. Current developments also reflect this philosophy: The Alpha adhesive melter, launched in April 2025, can be seamlessly integrated into existing systems – modular, efficient, and customer-oriented.

Fifty years of Robatech are a reason to be grateful – and to look ahead. The company remains true to its commitment to developing innovative adhesive application systems that meet both economic and ecological requirements. Together with its partners worldwide, Robatech is working to ensure that the coming decades will also be sustainable and successful.
