Marbach, has shown strong efforts for international growth in recent years. A production facility in the USA was followed by another one in Malaysia. The Heilbronn-based company is now planning to strengthen its activities in Asia and is set to expand further in 2018. On 19th December, 2017 a contract for a joint venture with Masterwork Machinery Co Ltd was signed in Tianjin, China. Under the name Marbach Masterwork (Tianjin) Die Cutting Tools Co Ltd, the two companies will concentrate on the production of cutting dies for the Chinese packaging market. Marbach Automation & Service will supply the appropriate machines for the new Marbach production facility.
Peter Marbach said, “China is a very interesting market for us. With Masterwork, we have the optimal partner on our side. Together, we have the concentrated competence in die-cutting.”
Planned start-up of production is in summer 2018. The operations in Tianjin will include sales and production. The focus will be on flat cutting-dies for the folding carton and tobacco packaging.
