SPA event content confirmed

The UK Sheet Plant Association‘s 100th conference starts with lunch followed by presentations from Industry Professionals focussing on what’s changed in 30 Years within the Sheet Plant sector, the Current State of the UK & European Market for Corrugated, Sustainability and the Westminster and Brexit debacle. 

Nick Kirby from Swanline Print will be Reviewing the Corrugated and Print Show 2019 – sharing feedback and reviewing the Show from the perspective of Exhibitors and Visitors. 

Jon Clark from BPIF Cartons will be introducing SPA members and invited delegates to their exciting and thought-provoking initiative Trees into Cartons, Cartons into Trees. 

John Arnold, Chairman of Tweetminster Ltd and Managing Director of Northern & Universal Ltd will be giving us the Latest from Westminster and the Brexit debacle. John has been actively involved in Public Affairs for over 20 years. He has an in-depth knowledge of government and the political scene and has provided public affairs consultancy support to over 80 international blue-chip companies, trade bodies, interest groups and local authorities.

Getting Ready for Brexit – Arjan Geveke is Assistant Director Energy Policy in the Energy Productivity Team in the Department for Business Energy & Industrial Strategy. His main work areas include energy and climate change policies, with a particular focus on energy intensive industries, such as the paper & pulp sector. 

Sian Sutherland from A Plastic Planet will be presenting the Future of Plastic and the notion that “Maybe we need a new 3Rs – how about Responsibility, Reimagination and Reinvention?” 

Angelika Christ, Secretary General of FEFCO who will be sharing with us their view of the Circular Economy.  

The Event and dinner has the theme of ‘100 Not Out’ and will reflect on the progress the SPA and Industry have made over the past 30 years. The Conference will be packed with 100% relevant ‘Sheet Plant and Corrugated Industry’ content. Resister here.
