The Manufacturers Association of Central Florida (MACF) has confirmed that Dusobox Corporation in Orlando, Florida, has been awarded as the Large Manufacturer of Year, 2018.
MACF is a non-profit organisation; its primary objectives include elevating the image of local manufacturing by facilitating workforce development, educational training and supply chain assistance. Each year, MACF recognises the outstanding accomplishments of this vital industry with the Awards of Excellence program.
Dusobox was recognised at the Annual President’s Dinner and Awards of Excellence Program held Thursday, 1st November. The MACF judging panel made site visits to all of the manufacturing finalists and evaluated each company utilising the FloridaMakes Enterprise Assessment tool. This assessment tool is designed for manufacturing companies committed to improving management and workforce systems. Each finalist’s approaches and systems were assessed in the following six categories: leadership both within and outside of the organisation; strategic planning; customer and market focus; measurement, analysis and knowledge management; workforce focus and operations processes.
John Kelley, President of Dusobox accepted the award on behalf of the company. He said, “As an organisation, we know that it takes our entire team to make this award possible. We are honoured and proud to be recognizsed with this prestigious award.”
As the recipient of this year’s award, Dusobox will be eligible to appoint a member of the company to be a participant of next year’s judging panel.
