EBB Board expands sales force

Back in 2014, UK-based Elliott Baxter announced the acquisition of Cell Limited, an Independent board merchant in Derbyshire. Since then the Elliott Baxter board division has gone from strength to strength, increasing sales from 7,000 tonnes in 2014 to 14,500 tonnes in 2018. The stock portfolio has grown year on year with new strategic partnerships put in place with highly respected mills such as Iggesund, ITC and WestRock. More recently, Kotkamills joined the list of key suppliers which has further strengthened EBB’s position in the market as a major cartonboard supplier and as a result has added another external sales person to the EBB Board team.

“We now have over 300 trading customers across the UK that need to be kept up to date with our growing portfolio and to ensure we can do that effectively we needed to split the country into three areas, North, Midlands and South,” explained Simon Woolridge, EBB’s Board Division Manager.

On the 2nd January 2019, Tony Longhurst (who has been with Elliott Baxter for over 20 years promoting their extensive range of paper products into the commercial print sector) will join the Board team covering the South of England. When asked to comment on his new role Tony said, “Since EBB started stocking cartonboard I have really enjoyed promoting it to my commercial print customers so I am delighted to join the Board team and looking forward to the new challenge.”
