Chesterfield, UK-based The Corrugated Case Co has just taken delivery of a new Dong Fang casemaker. The Topra AD 1228 is a top print machine with three colours, slotting unit, rotary die-cutter, enhanced folder gluer unit and a counter ejector. It was supplied by Dong Fang’s UK agent, M & K Trading Ltd.
The feeder is fitted with a SUN lead edge feeder and can skip feed up 1500mm and has a maximum speed of 250 sheets per minute. Printing units are roll to roll, with an ink saving system fitted. Job changeovers can be achieved in 2-5 minutes using the quick lock stereo mounting, as well as the fully automatic slotting section with memory.
The new Dong Fang has replaced two older printer slotters and a gluer. This purchase is the second Dong Fang for The Corrugated Case Co in recent years, having installed a 1636 printer slotter with rotary die-cutter in 2012.
