KAPAG Karton + Papier AG was founded in Muhen, Switzerland in 1852. Today, the family-owned company specialises in producing, coating and finishing multi-ply paper and paperboard. The company is now one of the leading paper and paperboard laminators in Europe. They produce or convert materials from low weights (45 gsm) through to 5mm thick and processed widths range from 25mm up to almost 2.5m. Applications are diverse, from premium packaging for luxury goods and high-end graphics to uses in logistics and industry. In an effort to grow its business further, the company installed a semi-automatic 1620 SA litho laminator at the beginning of January, supplied by Lamina System of Boras, Sweden.
