Hamburger spend €20 million at Gelsenkirchen

It has been reported that Hamburger Containerboard has invested €20 million at its Gelsenkirchen mill in Germany. The funding was allocated to the 5.0m paper machine, including the film press and drying section. The comapny also added a new pope reeler and upgraded the soft-nip-calander. The upgraded paper machine should now be able to produce 250,000 tons of uncoated containerboard per year, which is a 20 per cent increase.
