A beautiful new building

The Heilbronn-based die-cutting manufacturer Marbach operates worldwide. One of its 16 plants is located in Kielce, Poland. This subsidiary was housed in a rented building during the last years. The move into a newly constructed building took place in June 2016. This building has recently won an architecture award.

Pavol Kunstar, CEO of Marbach Poland, said, “The preparations for the new company building in Kielce had already started in 2014. Ground-breaking was in September and after a period of more than one and a half years construction, the building was finished in spring 2016. The 1,580 sqm plant was officially opened at a ceremony on 1st June 2016 attended by many representatives of the city and the region.’”

But not only the employees like the new building; also Konrad Śmierzyński from the architectural office, Tera Group, liked it so much, he entered it for an architectural contest. This was advertised by the local newspaper ‘Echo Dnia’, together with the exhibition center Kielce and the technical university of the region, in order to award a prize for the best building investments in the Świętokrzyskie region.

Marbach Poland’s new building in Kielce won first place in the category ‘industry objects’. The award presentation took place on 7th April 2017 at a gala event. Kunstar continues, “We are very proud of this award, even though we didn’t expect to win. The nomination was a surprise. But more important for us than the look of the building is of course its functionality. Optimal production processes are the basis for a successful future at Marbach Poland. We want to grow further in our new building, since we now have enough space.”
